Michelle is the heart and soul behind Costello & Co Construction, a women-owned design-build firm serving Oakland County and the greater Metro Detroit area. Organically creative and culturally inspired, Michelle was destined to build Costello & Co long before she completed her first renovation project. From crafting unique clothing collections centered around her friends’ personal styles to elevating everyday spaces with thoughtful detail, Michelle has always had a gift for creating something bigger and more beautiful wherever she goes.

Daydreaming during her former desk job, Michelle realized her passion for design, client advocacy, and home remodeling couldn’t stay a dream any longer. Embracing the unknown, she stepped into the world of construction in 2020, purchasing and renovating fix-and-flip properties across Metro Detroit while building a portfolio of long- and short-term rental homes. As friends and family began seeking her advice for kitchen remodeling, bathroom renovations, and home updates, she quickly discovered her true passion — designing and building intentional spaces for families throughout our community.

 

Today, Michelle leads every project with authenticity and care, ensuring clients feel heard and valued from their first consultation through final walkthrough. Whether overseeing a custom kitchen remodel or guiding a full home transformation, her focus remains the same: thoughtful design, clear communication, and craftsmanship built to last.

 

When she’s not leading renovations or collaborating on design plans, Michelle enjoys traveling, collecting fine wines, cooking authentic dishes at home, and cozying up with Duke to watch sports (Go Duke — yes, he’s named after the basketball team). And if she’s quiet for a moment, she’s probably rearranging her own home after a stop at CB2.
